Jim Carrey is at his hilarious best in

The creators of the immensely popular
Wallace and Gromit television show (seen here on the A.B.C a few years back) deliver their
first featurelength film that shapes as this year's Toy
Story 2. Mel Gibson voices "Rocky", a fly-in American chicken that
attempts to help a flock of British chooks escape the hands of their owner who wants to
turn them into chicken pies. May well prove to be the best film of the summer. Read the Review |

Red Planet (M15+)
Sci-FiStarring:
Val Kilmer, Carrie-Anne Moss, Simon Baker
Director: Antony Hoffman
Released: 7 December 2000 |
Another "Mars" movie that
doesn't look like delivering anything new. This was filmed in outback Australia and
is also notable because it stars Australian, Simon Baker (formerly Simon Baker-Denny) who
starred in a few "soaps" here before trying his hand in Hollywood. This looks
like typical Sci-Fi fodder. |
